It's been 5 months, Animal has been released, and it's still making quite headlines on social media. Whether it's the storyline, or the violence, or Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s direction, or Ranbir Kapoor’s acting, or Rashmika Mandanna’s dialogue delivery, each and every part of the film have been criticised by netizens. Although it did not affect Animal’s box office success. Rather it became the 3rd highest grossing film of 2023, after Jawan and Pathaan, with a collection of Rs.920 crore, worldwide.
Not only that, even Animal has ruled Netflix for several weeks after its debut on the streaming giant this year. For the unversed, the film is currently the most searched crime program on streaming platforms according to Google. Hence, it was pretty shocking for Rashmika that why she's still getting trolled by netizens! The actress revealed that she received much praise on the set while shooting the Karva Chauth scene, but then why the audience did not like it.
Seems like curiosity has been killing her from inside. Hence she couldn't hold it anymore, and spilled about the topic while talking to Neha Dhupia on her show - No Filter Neha. The 27-year-old actress addressed the trolls, which bashed her Karva Chauth scene, and said that she received a round of applause from the whole crew for her 9-minute long scene, and this made her expectations high that audiences would love it the same way. But she was shocked after reading the trolls on social media, and felt like she's living in a bubble.
Mandanna further shared that she doesn't want to be in a bubble like this ever again. She needs to be on the ground, and for that she feels the need to talk to people face-to-face. “What went wrong? Why didn't the audience like it? What is going on in real?”, all these questions have been making her super tense throughout all these months.
The Pushpa-actress also shared that she doesn't like people talking and making fun of women’s bodies. Hence, as long as people are only trolling her films and dialogue delivery, that's absolutely okay, because according to her, she knows what kind of performance she gave.
