Rashmika Mandanna – a prominent name in Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywood is awaiting a intriguing script that would reunite her with co-star Vijay Deverakonda on the 70 mm screen again. The actress ac knowledged in an interview with Pinkvilla that it has been a while since she and Vijay Deverakonda were spotted together in a movie. Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are one of the most liked on-screen pairs in the world of cinema. Yet, Rashmika is on the lookout for an interesting script for them currently. “We’re definitely looking for a script together. It’s been really long, and I can see that fans are really waiting for our collaboration next time. And if something really interesting comes up, definitely,” Rashmika told Pinkvilla when asked when fans could get to see the pair together in a movie.
Off-screen, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are renowned for being the closest of friends. The two have only worked together on two films so far: Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindam, which were released in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Both films had enormous success and continue to have a devoted fan base.
The first time Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna worked together on screen was in the 2018 film Geetha Govindam, directed by Parasuram Petla. When it was first released, the romantic comedy received a lot of positive reviews and was praised for the chemistry between its characters. The pair appeared together in Bharat Kamma's Dear Comrade the next year. Like Geetha Govindam, the movie received mixed to unfavourable reviews, however Rashmika and Vijay's chemistry was highly praised again.
Though there has been no official confirmation, there are various rumours that Rashmika would play the female lead in Vijay Deverakonda and Gowtam Tinnanuri's upcoming film, tentatively named VD12.
Representing India at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, the actress is currently in Japan. She is the first Indian celebrity to do so as well. The actress arrived in Japan to a rousing reception from ecstatic fans who showered her with bouquets and chants at the airport.
