Rashmika Mandanna, who delivered an impactful performance as Srivalli in the recently released Pushpa 2: The Rule, heaped praises on her co-star Allu Arjun. In particular, Rashmika spoke extensively about the jatara sequence in the film in which Allu Arjun donned a saree and full-fledged make-up for an entire song and stunt sequences that spanned for more than 20 minutes.

However, Rashmika's praises for Allu Arjun for wearing a saree have triggered a section of fans who pointed out how actors like Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Raghava Lawrence had already done it before and asked her to do her homework.

Rashmika Mandanna recently took part in an interaction with Pinkvilla, in which she spoke about Allu Arjun's conviction about wearing a saree and performing dance and stunt sequence in Pushpa 2: The Rule.

She said, "With so much conviction the only actor who can do this is Allu Arjun sir. I don't think in my life I would witness. Imagine who has the guts, anger, power and alphaness to dance in saree, fight in saree and do talkie in saree. What man can do that?”

Netizens say Rashmika Mandanna has some work to do

Rashmika's comments triggered a section of the audience who asked her to do some homework. A few netizens pointed out how actors like Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Raghava Lawrence donned saree in films like Avvai Shanmugi, Super Deluxe, and Kanchana franchise respectively, sported in saree for almost throughout the film and performed efficiently.

Even as Rashmika’s intentions to praise her co-star were right, the actor’s negligence in not knowing the roles played by male actors wearing sarees was not appreciated.

Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 has crossed Rs 1000-crore at the box office worldwide, since its theatrical release on December 5. The film is directed by Sukumar and also stars Fahadh Faasil. A third part is in the making titled Pushpa: The Rampage.
