The trailer for Arjun Das-starrer Rasavathi is here! The makers of the film took to their social media handles to unveil the exciting new glimpse of the film. The new trailer starring Arjun Das and Tanya Ravichandran features the actors as lovers. Sharing the trailer on his social media pages, Arjun Das wrote that the film is very special to him and one that will always remain close to his heart.

The trailer opens with Arjun’s character saying, “Hello old man, for how many generations have you been standing here, watching us amusedly?” The trailer then takes us through Arjun Das and Tanya’s romantic scenes. Malayalam actor Sujith Shankar of Maheshinte Prathikaaram fame also makes frequent appearances in the trailer. He is said to be playing the main antagonist in this drama. Although Arjun Das has a dialogue at the beginning and end of the trailer, other characters do not say much.
The story is set to revolve around three timelines from the lead character's life with a mix of romance, action and crime.
Looking at the trailer, the film is set to narrate an intriguing tale of romance and has scope for a stylish action drama. At first glance, the background score and the cinematography might remind you of Arjun Das’ last outing Por, which was directed by Bejoy Nambiar. Overall the trailer promises an intriguing romance drama with a splash of interesting action sequences with Arjun Das taking the centrestage as a romantic hero! The film is set to hit the big screens on May 10.
Rasavathi plot to focus on relationships
Rasavathi is directed, written and produced by Santhakumar, who previously made Mounaguru and Magamuni. The director earlier revealed that the film will primarily focus on relationships. “Relationships are the central focus of this film. Romance was just a peripheral aspect in my first two films. But in Rasavathi, the scope of romance is much more as the film explores the issues in relationships as well,” he said.
Besides Arjun and Tanya, the film also stars Ramya Subramanian, GM Sundar, Sujith Shankar, Reshma Venkatesh, Sujatha, and Rishikanth among others. On the technical front, S Thaman has composed the original background score and soundtracks for the film.
