RARKPK-star Ranveer Singh to Tota Roy Chowdhury: Tota Sir, you are just so special

Ever since its release, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani is going steady at the box office with encouraging word-of-mouth from viewers and critics alike. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s chemistry as Rocky and Rani, Karan Johar’s signature style of filmmaking, and solid performances by a bevy of actors, including, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly, and Dharmendra have supplied the film the required fuel to run steadily at the theatres. 

Meanwhile, the scene of Tota and Ranveer’s Dola Re has won hearts. The Bengali actor shared an appreciation post after being lauded for his dancing skills. Ranveer shared the story and replied, “Tota Sir, you are just so, so, special. Warms my heart to hear people gushing about you. They’re all echoing what I’ve always felt – The goodness of your soul shines through in your performance! The inherent niceness you brought to Chondon, your preciously warm screen presence, your deeply moving performance, and the spectacular Kathak! Oh, the Kathak! Feeling so blessed in this moment! Overwhelming gratitude! Thank you for being you, sir! My love forever and ever.” The message was concluded with a series of red heart emojis. 

Tota further wrote, “It has been a privilege to share screen space with you You are one of the most talented actors I have worked with, But above all, you are God’s own child – such a beautiful soul. 

Their mutual love was evident even during their Kolkata-leg promotional tour. At the event, Tota called Alia an ‘instinctive’ actress and said Ranveer’s acting reminded him of Stanislavski’s ‘method acting’. “He would make Konstantin Stanislavski proud with his ‘method acting’. To this, Ranveer joked, “Yes, I have my methods. I go to the gym, I do squats and cardio. That’s my method,” and everyone burst into laughter.”
