Kannada rapper and music composer Chandan Shetty is currently awaiting the release of his maiden acting venture Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala but looks like he is keen his trying his hand at a few more films. Yes, as per the latest reports, Chandan has signed his second film as an actor and to make things more interesting, the new outing will be a crime thriller which will be helmed by debutant Kiran Kumar.

While Sujay Shastry's Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala has him try out comedy, Chandan will reportedly play an investigator in his second film and the actor in him is particularly kicked about this stark shift. Sharing that the film is a whodunnit murder mystery, Chandan spoke to a media outlet about the untitled project and the physical preparation he had to undertake for the role. He added that in order to look right for the investigator's part, he had to shed as many as 10 kilos and take up a rigorous diet & fitness regime along the course.

As far as Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala, actor Sujay Shastry returns to direction after making his debut with the Raj B. Shetty starrer Gubbi Mele Brahmastra. In his previous interview, Sujay revealed that he ran into Chandan Shetty on the sets of the TV reality show Raja Rani and found his personality to be quite enterprising which urged him to narrate the idea of the film. Chandan too was in pursuit of the right script to make his acting debut film and having really liked the story of Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala, he had no qualms in agreeing to star as the lead. Set in the 1980s, the comedy-drama also stars Archana Kottige, Manju Pavagada, Dattanna, Tara, and others.
