That Randeep Hooda is one of the no-nonsense actors in Bollywood is something that many would vouch for. Be it his films like ‘Monsoon Wedding’, ‘Darna Zaroori Hai’, ‘Highway’, ‘Kick’, ‘Baaghi 2’ and the more recent ‘Inspector Avinash’, Randeep Hooda has always maintained his won and held fort even though it’s a solo hero film or a multi starrer. While on one hand, Randeep Hooda was in full throttle as an actor, on the other hand, he has also ventured into film production as well. The much-talked about film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ will bring to the fore Randeep Hooda as a director. The actor had even launched the film’s teaser on the 140th birth anniversary of the fearless revolutionary Swatantra Veer Savarkar.
Knowing the dedicated actor that he is, a recent report stated that Randeep Hooda was completely shattered when his film ‘Battle Of Saragarhi’ did not get released. The same was revealed by none other than the actor Randeep Hooda himself in a recent interview with Mashable India. The actor revealed that there were many situations in his life when he thought there was nothing but darkness and that he had undergone a big stage of depression. He added that he did the film ‘Extraction’ in that stage of life when he was down and out. The actor also revealed that he had even thought of leaving ‘Extraction’ for ‘Battle Of Saragarhi’ and had even left films for three years for ‘Battle Of Saragarhi’.
Randeep Hooda also revealed that he was quite affected by the film ‘Battle Of Saragarhi’. He even went on to reveal that his parents did not leave him alone and that to escape from them, he would bolt his room, fearing that someone would cut his beard! Looking back in time, film maker Rajkumar Santoshi had announced the magnum opus ‘Battle of Saragarhi’ way back in 2016. The film had Randeep Hooda playing the leading man of the film with his role of Havildar Ishar Singh.
