Randeep Hooda: Radhe is Salman Khan 2.0

Actor Randeep Hooda, who plays the antagonist in Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, recently revealed that the superstar’s character in the film is an extension of his real-life personality.

With the movie slated for release on May 13, Salman, Disha Patani, Randeep and Jackie Shroff got together with the film’s director Prabhu Dheva to shed light on its titular character.

Randeep said that the character Radhe is pretty much Salman Khan. “He’s strong and soft at the same time, with a sense of humour. It’s an ode to Salman Khan,” said Randeep. Agreeing with him, Jackie said, “I don’t see much difference (between Salman and Radhe).”

Director Prabhu Dheva admitted that Radhe was made keeping Salman in mind. “He’s a dangerous guy, very bad to bad people, (but is also) loveable and simple. The character is tailor-made for Salman sir,” he shared.

Salman, meanwhile, mentioned that Radhe has an “attitude and swag like no other”. Interestingly, that is something most of his fans believe about Bhaijaan himself. “He speaks less but is effective. Prabhu has shown him as (someone) strong,” said Salman, in the video.

Disha Patani, who plays the female lead and Radhe’s love interest Diya, said, “Radhe is fearless, who would give up his life to fight for justice. He’s an amazing person.”

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai also features Gautam Gulati and Megha Akash in pivotal roles. The movie will release simultaneously in multiple platforms including theatres and ZEEPLEX, the pay-per-view service of ZEE5, on May 13.
