Ranbir Kapoor’s prep for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani connection

An inside video of Ranbir Kapoor prepping for Ramayana has been going viral. The actor is seen doing different types of workouts, some intense, to prep for Nitesh Tiwari’s film. He is training with a team that has been assigned for the film and the video which has been released sees them be a part of the process with the actor.

The clip and YJHD connection

The video begins with Ranbir running shirtless and in blue shorts. He is then seen doing some cardio exercises, including picking up dumbbells. The actor’s workout ranged from swimming to cycling on the hills and even trekking on the mountains. The latter is what will remind you of Ranbir in the film, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. He and Deepika climbed the mountains with the help of trekking stick. This time around, Ranbir ditched them and caught up with his trainer. In the very clip, the actor also donned long hair, which he covered with a hairband. The look is a part of the movie because Lord Ram has comparatively longer hair.

Film on floors

Ramayana is on floors. Photos from the sets were leaked a few days back. Lara Dutta and Arun Govil were seen in the pics. As expected, as soon as the pictures were leaked, they went viral on the internet.

Newest version of Ramayana

Nitesh’s vision with Ramayana is to present the film to the generation that knows all about Avengers over the Indian epic saga. His aim is to make them fall in love with the story as much as he loves it. The filmmaker did find it challenging to cater to the generation of today, which does not accept every idea in Ramayana, which was acceptable back when it happened.

Apart from Ranbir, Lara and Arun, the movie stars Sai Pallavi in a pivotal role. It is the latest adaptation of the Ramayana, after Om Raut’s Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan.

Ranbir, on the work front

Ranbir made noise in 2023, first with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar opposite Shraddha Kapoor, and then with Animal starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial made a noise at all award shows and is among the most viewed on OTT as well.
