We finally have a new update on Ranbir Kapoor-starring Dhoom 4. The actor, who is making his debut in the franchise film, is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War in Mumbai and has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal Park apart from Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana in the pipeline as well. We finally have an update about his schedule, and when he would commence the much-awaited Dhoom 4 in particular. Here's what you need to know...
Ranbir will begin shooting for Dhoom 4 next year in April i.e. in 2026. The film, which will mark his entry into the Dhoom franchise (a part of YRF Spy Universe), is likely to release in or post-2027. The makers are currently looking to cast two female leads and an antagonist for the movie, a source informed India Today. Like with Jr. NTR in War 2, YRF wishes to lock an antagonist who works in the South Indian film industry.

Ranbir is currently shooting for Love & War in Mumbai. The film, helmed by his debut film (Saawariyaa) director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. It is a romantic drama set against the backdrop of war and will release on March 20, 2026.
Animal Park is not going to be on floors before 2026 either. The role, which brought Ranbir back into the limelight since Sanju, might take longer since director Vanga is busy shooting for another film at the moment. Meanwhile, Ranbir has completed filming Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. In the movie, he plays Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi plays Goddess Sita and Yash will portray Raavan. The movie is scheduled for Diwali 2026 release and is currently in its post-production stage.
