Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is still the most loved movie on OTT. The theatrical release is the only Bollywood movie to survive on OTT. This week, i.e. for the week of February 9-15, two South Indian movies have made it to the list released by Ormax Media. One of them is Prabhas’ Salaar, which just released its Hindi version.
Animal the only Bollywood movie
Animal is the only Bollywood movie to make it to the top three theatrical releases on OTT. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, is the most loved film even now. It is the only Bollywood movie on the list and has beat two South Indian movies for the spot. Animal also paved way for director Sandeep Reddy Vanga to announce a universe (much like Rohit Shetty Cop Universe and YRF Spy Universe) called Animal Park. The movie, which saw Ranbir vs Bobby Deol, is the first in the universe.
Salaar Hindi second most loved
There was a lot of demand for the Hindi version of Salaar. Finally, Disney+Hotstar has released the same and it is no surprise that the movie is the second most loved on the list. Salaar received mixed reviews but the Box Office collections of the film were at an all-time high, thus making the movie one of the most-awaited on OTT.
Which is the third?
The third on the list is Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. The movie has thrown Vikrant Massey’s much-loved film 12th Fail out of the list. This week, both Sam Bahadur as well as Tiger 3 are out of the list. Sam Bahadur features Vicky Kaushal in the lead role and was in direct competition with Animal when the movies released in theatres. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3 had made its re-entry on the list last week but this week, it is out of the list thanks to both Salaar and Guntur Kaaram being the latest additions.
