Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal postponed thanks to Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2?

Ranbir Kapoor’s much-awaited movie Animal might now be postponed. This is thanks to Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 releasing in theatres on the same day as Animal’s release date. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has been in news even since a clip of Ranbir went viral and fans have not been able to stop talking about the actor since.

Animal was initially announced for August 11 release. However, since Akshay Kumar has announced OMG 2 is also releasing on that very day, there’s a high likelihood that Animal will be postponed.

Not just OMG 2 but Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 also releases on the same day. Seeing the competition, it only makes sense if Ranbir wants his movie, which might be the last one before he takes a brief break from acting, to release at a good time.

Fans too have been pleading to the Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh director to postpone Animal’s release. They believe that October might be the best time to release Ranbir’s movie. This is because Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan too releases in September and nobody would dare compete with the king at the Box Office, especially not after Pathaan’s success.

It is being reported that Animal might as well be the Indian adaptation of Godfather. The Hollywood film has left a legacy that is tough to even touch. Nonetheless, it looks like Animal is attempting that.

The movie sees Ranbir in the role of a professor who enters the mafia after his father’s demise. Both his looks are now out and have left fans more curious than ever to find out what Animal is all about.
