After the success of his last release Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva and two cameos in the films Rocket Gang and Govinda Naam Mera the new year looks quite promising for Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor with two exciting films that explore two different genres.
As the first look of one of his upcoming films Aminal is revealed which he looks very intense, the actor shares his story of physical transformation and how his trainer changed his approach towards workouts quite drastically.
Interacting with his trainer Shivhaam, Ranbir recalls how they started the journey of body transformation two years ago with the film titled Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar directed by Luv Ranjan. Since the actor is playing a young lover in the film, to create the look, he had to go through physical training to achieve a lean body type that goes well with the image of the character as well as some of the scenes that are shot on the beach.
The actor had to start shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film Animal immediately after that for which he is playing the character of two different generations; that required the body type of an older and young version of the actor. He had to not only go through tough training for that but also a strict diet plan.
Ranbir said in the video to his trainer Shivhaam, "You made me enjoy workout because of the in-depth knowledge you have. I was that guy who used to always cancel workouts, but now when I cancel my workout, I start feeling guilty. Sometimes I work out twice a day!"
The film Animal is also starring - Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri, expected to release theatrically on August 11.
Luv Ranjan's directorial Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles - releasing on March 8.
