Poised to make her Met Gala red carpet debut on May 1 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Alia Bhatt - who has just won yet another award for her remarkable performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biographical crime drama film Gangubai Kathiawadi - is also known to be quite the disciplinarian when it comes to her diet and fitness regime. But it’s not just limited to herself! Recently, her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor revealed that Alia also encourages him to adopt healthy lifestyle practices, including yoga.

Easily one of Bollywood’s most talked-about couples, Ranbir and Alia tied the knot in April 2022 and are now parents to little Raha. Speaking at a book launch event in Mumbai recently, the Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar star said that the credit for his skin care routine goes to Alia. So much so that he dips his face in ice water to avoid tanning and even does yoga. “Nowadays, Alia is really pushing me to do yoga. She said it reflects on your skin, I don’t know how it does, but it does right?,” he said.

The couple acted together in Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy action-adventure film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva. The 2022 movie also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Akkineni Nagarjuna in pivotal roles.

Next, Ranbir will be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed Animal, which also features Rashmika Mandanna, Parineeti Chopra, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Meanwhile, Alia is making her Hollywood debut with the Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan starrer action thriller film Heart of Stone, which is releasing later this year. At the 2023 Met Gala, the actress will walk the red carpet wearing a Prabal Gurung number.
