After the Supreme Court’s monumental and ‘balanced’ verdict of 2019, the time has finally come for Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya, his ‘Janmabhoomi’ or birthplace. The consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla, or childlike Ram idol will be attended by Indian personalities, political figures, sports personas, and celebrities of all kinds, with more than 7000 guests.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are among the latest celebs to join the ranks at Ayodhya for the historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple of Ayodhya . They were joined by Rohit Shetty at the airport as they posed for the paparazzi.
While Ranbir Kapoor pleasantly surprised all with his plain white kurta and matching dhoti. To finish off the look, he wrapped a creamy beige shawl and wore simple, brown slippers. On the other hand, his better half Alia Bhatt was dressed in a beautiful teal saree with a simple border. She also had a complementary midnight-blue shawl on, to avoid the chilly, dawn temperature.

As they dismounted from their car, they were met by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who had just arrived for the same purpose as them. Shetty was dressed in clothes similar to Ranbir Kapoor, a milky-white set of kurta and pajamas. But it seemed he valued comfort over style, as the action connoisseur had a dark grey jacket on as well.
As time draws near for the consecration ceremony, which begins at 12.20m, more stars and celebs make their way. Sachin Tendulkar and Ram Charan were seen leaving for Ayodhya a while ago. Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif were also seen leaving for Ayodhya from a private airport early in the morning.
As for the celebs who have already arrived at Ayodhya, they have been taking part in the various ceremonies that are part of the 11-day ‘anusthaan’ that have been preceding the final inauguration event. According to ANI, Rajnikanth, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Shefali Shah, Randeep Hooda, Sonu Nigam, among many others have already reached Ayodhya.
