Ranam Aram Thavarel is a standout Tamil thriller film of 2024. Released on February 23, it managed to bring a lot of people to theatres. So much so that it is currently the 3rd most searched thriller film on Google, after the Hollywood flick X and the Telugu movie Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire.

What is Ranam Aram Thavarel about?

Ranam Aram Thavarel begins with the mysterious and unexpected death of a nurse. A diligent crime journalist, Shiva (Vaibhav Reddy), investigates the nurse’s death. As he delves deep into the case, the investigation takes a shocking turn. The nurse’s death is linked to a massive web of powerful and antagonistic forces. And powerful individuals will do anything to keep their secrets buried forever.

Shiva then finds himself caught in a web of suspense that is packed with twists and turns. The deeper he delves, the more he finds himself pitted against powerful individuals. Each and every scene will keep you on the edge of your seat, asking numerous questions, like, who really murdered the nurse? And what is the reason for such a heinous series of murders?

Not only the Tamil audiences, but Ranam Aram Thavarel received love from audiences across India. While some showered praise on director Sherief, others couldn't stop praising Vaibhav Reddy’s performance.
