December is indeed a memorable month for the Daggubati family, with three most popular faces from its clan celebrating their birthdays. While Venkatesh's birthday falls on December 13, the actor's nephew Rana Daggubati will turn another year older today (December 24). Later this month on December 24, Rana's father and producer Suresh Daggubati will be celebrating his 64th birthday. This time, the fun isn't for the family alone, but for film buffs as well.
Commemorating Venkatesh's birthday yesterday, the star's popular film Narappa was re-released across theatres in Telugu states. In addition, a new look of the veteran from his web series debut, Rana Naidu, was unveiled by Netflix, leaving his fans overjoyed. The surprises from Netflix continue today as well, with the streamer wishing Rana Daggubati on his birthday by launching a new still from the show.
"The word "Rana" actually means "King", and we couldn't agree more! 馃ご馃憫 Happy Birthday @RanaDaggubati AKA #RanaNaidu馃ぉ #HBDRanaDaggubati," Netflix wrote on its social media handle earlier today. Rana Naidu is an action drama that'll stream soon on the streamer. The shot of the show was wrapped earlier this year, marking the first on-screen collaboration between Rana and Venkatesh (as Rana Naidu and Venky Naidu).
Rana Naidu is essentially a Hindi series shot significantly in Mumbai revolving around a go-to-fixer from the city (the titular character), who does the dirty work for several influential figures. The cast also comprises Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Suchitra Pillai, Gaurav Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi and Rajesh Jais. Directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, Rana Naidu, an adaptation of the US show Ray Donovan, is produced by Aaron Sunder of Locomotive Global Inc.
