Ramya Krishnan to temporarily replace Kamal Haasan as the host of Bigg Boss Tamil 5?

It is known that Kamal Haasan had tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from the US a few days ago. The veteran actor-filmmaker is getting treated at a hospital in Chennai. A release issued from the hospital a day ago had informed that he has been keeping well and that his condition continues to be stable. 

The names of a few actors did the rounds with regard to hosting Bigg Boss Tamil 5 till the time Kamal returns to the house. It is expected that he requires at least two weeks of time. 

It was his daughter Shruti Haasan's name which surfaced first on social media, though there weren't any confirmation from neither the actress nor Vijay television. The latest we hear is that Ramya Krishnan is in talks with the channel for the same. If everything goes well, the senior actress will be seen as the host of the show temporarily.

Earlier, she had hosted Bigg Boss Telugu 3 a couple of years ago, replacing Nagarjuna temporarily. Her tryst as a host won her lot of appreciation from the viewers as well as the contestants. In fact, there were strong rumours on her hosting Bigg Boss Telugu 4, though the makers rubbished it. 

On acting side, she has Tamilvannan's Uyarndha Manithan in which Amitabh Bachchan and SJ Suryah essay lead roles. Though the project was launched amid huge expectations a few years ago, the movie was said to be stalled midway, albeit its makers denied it. For now, the status of the film is unknown. 

She also has Venkat Prabhu's long-pending film Party, which has an ensemble cast, including Jai, Shiva, Shaam, Sathyaraj, Regina Cassandra and Sanchita Shetty.
