Manorathangal, the upcoming MT Vasudevan Nair anthology series garnered the attention of cine-goers with its excellent trailer. The trailer of the Mammootty-Mohanlal-Fahadh Faasil starrer was revealed in Kochi, on the special occasion of the legendary writer’s 91st birthday. However, the netizens are now irked by the shocking behaviour of music composer Ramesh Narayan at the Manorathangal trailer launch event. The senior musician refused to accept the memento from popular actor Asif Ali at the event and created a fuss until director Jayaraj rushed into the scene to pacify him.
After the netizens trolled him brutally for the distasteful behaviour, Ramesh Narayanan defended himself with an official statement recently. According to the musician, his intention was never to insult Asif Ali. However, the composer admitted that he was upset at that time, due to other reasons.
Ramesh Narayan denies insulting Asif Ali
The musician, who reacted to the allegations recently, denied insulting Asif Ali. According to Ramesh Narayan, he was quite upset at that moment he was not included with the crew when they were invited to the stage together. He expressed his disappointment to MT Vasudevan Nair's daughter and filmmaker Ashwathy, she informed the organizers and the musician was called onto the stage. According to Ramesh Narayan, he had no clue about who is going to present the memento to him.
Ramesh Narayanan also claimed that Asif Ali quickly left the venue when he asked Jayaraj, who was sitting away, to come on the stage. The music director further added that Asif is one of his favourite actors, and his intentions were never to insult the actor or avoid him. He further stated that he is ready to apologize to Asif if he is wrong.
Netizens troll Ramesh Narayan for his behaviour towards Asif Ali
In the videos which are now going viral on social media, the anchor is seen requesting Asif Ali, who played the lead role in one of the segments in Manorathangal, to hand over the memento to Ramesh Narayan. However, when Asif approached the senior music director, he refused to acknowledge the actor’s presence. Later, he created a fuss at the venue asking someone else to come forward and present him with the memento. Jayaraj came forward and pacified Ramesh Narayan after the musician asked the senior filmmaker to present him with the memento.
The Malayalam cine-goers, especially the fans and well-wishers of Asif Ali are highly irked with the insult faced by the talented actor. The netizens are now brutally trolling Ramesh Narayanan for looking down on the gifted artist and insulting him by refusing to accept the token of love for the team Manorathangal. They also praised Asif Ali for not losing his calm and handling the situation in a highly dignified way. Along with the netizens, the celebs of the Malayalam film industry have also extended support to Asif, on social media.
