Rambaan – Mohanlal and Joshiy’s next is a high-octane action film set in a fictional world; says Chemban Vinod Jose

Mohanlal, the Malayalam superstar bounced back after a long dull period in his career, with the blockbuster courtroom drama Neru. Even though his latest Malaikottai Vaaliban was a commercial failure, the veteran actor impressed the audiences with his powerful performance in the film. As reported earlier, Mohanlal now has an exciting line-up of upcoming films, including senior filmmaker Joshiy’s upcoming action thriller, which has been titled Rambaan. The project is scripted by actor-writer Chemban Vinod Jose.

In a recent chat with a leading Malayalam media, popular actor Chemban Vinod Jose, who has penned the story and screenplay for Rambaan, dropped some highly exciting updates about the upcoming Mohanlal starrer. The actor-writer, who is set to team up with the superstar for the first time in his career, confirmed that the Joshiy directorial is a full-fledged action film set in a completely fictional space. Chemban also revealed that he intentionally took a break from the real-life inspired stories for the film.

Interestingly, the scriptwriter confirmed that Rambaan has absolutely no connection with any real-life incidents or people that he came across in his life. Instead, the film deals with a never-seen-before story and characters. Chemban Vinod Jose revealed that he intended to change his writing style, and it is the reason why he is experimenting with a fictional story in the upcoming Mohanlal starrer. He also added that Rambaan will feature some high-octane action scenes, in both ‘Naadan’ and foreign styles.

Mohanlal’s new look Rambaan

As reported earlier, leading man Mohanlal is reportedly set to sport a brand-new look for the upcoming Joshiy starrer. The superstar, who has been heavily criticized by the cine-goers for not trying new looks for his roles, has always been seen in his thick beard look since the release of his 2018-released film Odiyan. However, the veteran actor is now set to bid goodbye to his signature thick beard look for his role in Rambaan. Instead, he will reportedly sport a twirled mustache with no beard look. and a different hairdo.
