Despite the producers' diligent efforts to conceal the details of Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana, there are occasional leaks of information that eager fans uncover. According to reports, filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has commandeered Filmcity to construct twelve lavish sets for the filming of the mythical story, in which Kapoor plays the part of Lord Ram.

Ramayana completion timeline and set details

A source told Mid Day that the goal is to have these sets built by the middle of August. Their primary function is to facilitate the film's 3D shooting; however, they are somewhat complex. Sets depicting Ayodhya and Mithila, the locations of Ram and Sita's wedding, are also under construction.

Sai Pallavi plays Sita in the film, Arun Govil portrays King Dasharath, and Yash reportedly plays Ravana. Today marks the end of filming for the portions of Ram's life that pertain to his youth.

The source told the tabloid that the lead actors will begin filming on the new schedule towards the end of August.

Shooting progress

Shooting for Ramayana is reportedly underway as scheduled, despite media speculation to the contrary. As previously scheduled, Yash will be joining the team as soon as possible. According to reports, Tiwari is filming the Ramayana as a two-part epic with Yash. The filmmakers have decided to split the plot into two parts because of the film's massive scope and grandeur. Unlike most in the industry who wait for part one's results before filming part two, a source told Pinkvilla that they will shoot Ramayana simultaneously.

The source informed the entertainment portal that they plan to film a significant portion of Ramayana Part Two before the publication of Ramayana Part One. The meticulously planned 350-day production schedule for the two Ramayana films includes both ensemble and solo performances by the extended star cast. A year from now, the two Ramayana flicks will hit theatres, according to the source.

Wrap-up and post-production plans

Now that production on their two-part Ramayana has begun, Nitesh Tiwari and DNEG hope to wrap up by the year 2025. By December 2025, primary photography will have wrapped on both Ramayana films, and post-production will begin at the same time. According to the source, the schedules ensure that the performers maintain a consistent look throughout the film.

They also mentioned that the release date for Ramayana would be revealed once filming of the first half is finished.
