Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is an ambitious film that has been in development for quite some time. A number of A-listers have joined the cast, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Recent rumours suggest that Lara Dutta will play Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh will play Shurpanakha, and Sunny Deol will play Lord Hanuman. Some intriguing information about this highly anticipated film has just surfaced.
A source told Bollywood Hungama that Ramayana is going to be a three-part film. The creators have not yet disclosed the division of the story into portions. Part one will give an overview of Lord Rama, his Ayodhya family, his marriage to Sita, and their vanvas, which lasted for fourteen years. The first instalment is anticipated to conclude the first portion with Ravana abducting Sita. The filmmakers aim to tell the epic tale in a way that is entertaining, sympathetic, and cinematic; they have no desire to cut corners.
Whether Sunny Deol's cameo or substantial involvement, as Lord Hanuman is known to the source, is unclear for Part 1. The source cautiously added that the second part will depict Lord Ram and Lakshman meeting Lord Hanuman and the Vaanar Sena, overcoming obstacles, and ultimately building Ram Setu. It is anticipated that the third instalment will cover the battle between the Vaanar Sena and Ravana's forces, the latter's downfall, and the triumphant return of Lord Ram and Sita to Ayodhya.
With the Ramayana, RK will be foraying into the mythological genre for the first time. The actor has been diligently working to achieve a leaner physique for his role as Young Ram. Furthermore, rumours suggest that Naveen Pollishetty has been cast to play Laxman in the film.
Ramayana is rumoured to be announced on the auspicious occasion of Rama Navami, which is April 17, 2024, after the makers have laboriously studied and worked on pre-production.
