The presentation of the highly anticipated trailer for Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama today delighted cinemagoers and fans alike. Based on Valmiki's Ramayana, the film is a stunning visual masterpiece that retells one of India's most treasured stories.

The trailer showcases scenes from Prince Rama's birthplace, Ayodhya; his marriage to Sita; his exile in the forest of Panchavati with Sita and Lakshman; and the legendary clash between Lord Rama and King Ravana, all brought to life in stunning Japanese anime style.

Yugo Sako conceptualised the film, while Koichi Sasaki and Ram Mohan directed it, marking a unique Indo-Japanese collaboration. It featured more than 450 artists employing about 100,000 hand-drawn cells. The ultimate result is an eye-popping masterpiece that skilfully combines the elegant aesthetics of Japan with the ageless storytelling traditions of India.

Moksha Modgill, CEO of Geek Pictures India, via an official release, said that this film is a tribute to one of the greatest stories ever told. The theatrical release of the film serves as a delightful revival of a beloved cult classic, leaving a lasting impression on many Indian youths. On January 24, he can't wait for families and children to enjoy this film with the next generation!

Regarding the universal appeal of Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, acclaimed filmmaker Shri V. Vijayendra Prasad said that the film speaks of eternal values—dharma, courage, and love. In other words, it transcends cultural and geographical boundaries. The story has inspired millions of people through its many adaptations, including the epic by Valmiki, the Ramcharitmanas by Tulsidas, and the Ramavataram by Kamban. Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama: Theatrical debut in 4K

On January 24, 2025, the film will make its theatrical debut in 4K theatres across India. Geek Pictures India, AA Films, and Excel Entertainment will handle theatrical distribution in the nation.
