One of the most ambitious, anticipated and awaited of them all is Nitesh Tiwari’s biggest project to date, the adaptation of Ramayana that stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead as Lord Ram. The movie has been in the pre-production stage for a while, and the makers have been at it for a long time now.
We have heard about almost everything from Ranbir’s physical looks for the film to the vibe of the movie that the director has zeroed in on. And if the latest reports are to go by, the movie goes on floors mid-April and there is much more to it.
While the wait now is for the day Nitesh Tiwari and team make the official announcement where they confirm the Ramayana adaptation and also the final cast of the movie, there are still details coming out from the hub about the movie through Little Birdies. Now, an ETimes report talks about the shooting schedule and how the team plans to create intrigue for their project. As per the report, the team has been busy prepping for their respective parts in the movie. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi who plays Sita, and others have begun the prep to get the era right.
Not just that, the report also revealed that the Ramayan adaptation will go on floors in mid-April, and we can expect an announcement of the movie on April 17, which is the day of Ramnavami. It is said that it is the day when Lord Ram was born. If that is not enough to excite you, the report adds that the cast of the movie will now disappear from the public eye slowly and will dedicate their entire time to the film. They will be shooting for the Nitesh Tiwari directorial on the various sets put up in the Film City.
Meanwhile, apart from Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, there are also rumors of various big Bollywood stars joining the cast as various characters. Amitabh Bachchan is rumored to be playing Dashrath, Lara Dutta is in contention to play Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol is said to be playing Hanuman, Rakul Preet Singh to play Surpanakha and South Star Yash will be playing Ravana. Bobby Deol is also cast as per the reports, but there are no details about his role.
