Ravi Teja, whose Khiladi premiered on Disney+ Hotstar in March, is back in a vintage mass avatar for his next film, Ramarao On Duty. He yet again turns a cop and is cast as a Commissioner in the film directed by Sarath Mandava, who has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Divyasha Kaushik, Rajisha Vijayan play the female leads in the film produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas in collaboration with RT Team Works. Ramarao on Duty will hit screens across the globe on June 17, confirmed the makers.

The team has already finished filming for the mass entertainer and the last leg of post production is progressing at a brisk pace. The makers have chosen a release date in June aiming for an ideal release window and adequate time to promote the movie. The strategy seems safe enough, more so after the moderate response for Khiladi. In the release date announcement poster shared today, Ravi Teja looks intense and one can also notice a few heavy vehicles passing through a forest.

The promotional campaign for Ramarao on Duty is expected to begin soon and the makers are looking at coming up with regular updates to keep movie buffs interested. Sam CS has scored the music for the actioner and the songs will be launched one after the other shortly. Venu Thottempudi is making his combeack with the movie, where he plays a cop. The other supporting actors in the film include Nasser, Sr Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh, ‘Sarpatta’ John Vijay, Chaitanya Krishna, Tanikella Bharani, Rahul Rama Krishna, Eerojullo Sree, Madhu Sudan Rao and Surekha Vani.

The film is based on true incidents, claim the makers. Sathyan Sooryan ISC is cranking the camera for the film while Praveen KL is the editor. Sahi Suresh is on board as the art director. SonyLIV has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights for the film.
