Actor Ram Pothineni has injured his neck while prepping up for his toned avatar in his 19th film, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual with director N Lingusamy, tentatively titled #RAPO19 aka Ustaad. The shoot has been halted for now and will resume once the actor is deemed fit to return to action. The actor took to his Instagram handle and shared an image where he is seen wearing a neckband. “Take a break…or take The Break!” he captioned the post. Ram was flooded with messages wishing him quick recovery soon after he had posted the image.
Ram's film with N Lingusamy is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi, under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. The project, the director's first straight film in Telugu, has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Krithi Shetty, Nadiya, Aadhi Pinisetty also play crucial roles and the principal shoot commenced in Hyderabad earlier this year. Anbariv, the action director duo that shot to fame with its stunts in the superhit KGF, have been roped in for the project. Popular director Shankar, during his trip to Hyderabad, had even visited the film's sets.
While #RAPO19 is Ram Pothineni's first Tamil release, he was to make his Tamil debut with Tamannaah in Yen Endral Kadhal Enben, which didn't make it to theatres for reasons best known to its makers. Ram's recent releases were Red (the Telugu remake of Thadam) and iSmart Shankar, which performed well at the box office. He is yet to finalise his next film after the current project with N Lingusamy.
