Ram Kapoor on Jubilee: I said yes to the show even before knowing the script

Actor Ram Kapoor, who plays Shamsher Singh Walia in the recently-released web series Jubilee, reveals why he decided to work on the project before knowing the script.

In an interview with India Today, Ram shared, "For me, getting the offer and working on the project was very different from the rest of the cast. I was in Singapore when I received a call and Vik (Vikramaditya) told me that his next project is ready, and that I am playing a part in it. I said okay. He also said that he will need me to shoot from April, and I said okay to that as well. That was it; that was the conversation. He did not find the need to tell me about my character when he offered me the role, and neither did I. Our equation is very different."

Recalling work together for the first time with Vikramaditya in Udaan, Ram said, "Ten years ago, Vikram directed me in Udaan. So, he started his journey as a film director with me. This is why he knew that I will not ask him any questions when he offers me a project, and that's the kind of understanding that we have. I did not even ask for the character name, and even if it was for just two scenes, I would have done the show."

The actor then shared how having a long career in the entertainment business is and that a big lesson that he has learnt is that working with the right people is very important.

"I have realised that working with the right kind of people and choosing the right project is very important. There was a time when I would take on projects that I knew would help my career or my finances. Now, it is all about the people I would love to work with, and for that I am okay even if I have to stay at home for six months," shared the actor, who is known for appearing in TV series like Kasamh Se, Bade Acche Lagte Hain, and web series like A Suitable Boy, and Human.
