The star is currently filming for director Shankar’s RC15 and will commence shoot for his sports drama with Buchi Babu Sana shortly

Ram Charan, whose next, RC15, with director Shankar is nearing completion, is now off to the US to promote RRR as part of the campaign leading to Oscars 2023. While the much-anticipated awards’ ceremony will be held on March 11, the star will interact with several leading publications and media houses and participate in multiple events and speak about the historical fiction drama.

The Rangasthalam star’s first major appearance will be for the popular show, Good Morning America show today (February 22 1 pm EST / 11:30 pm IST). He has been invited to the show to speak of his various experiences while filming for RRR for over three years. He was cast as the Telugu warrior Alluri Sitarama Raju in the film, as a cop who outsmarts the British with his strategies.

Ram Charan’s fans are eager than ever to notice what the star has to say about RRR in the show. He was also present along with the film’s team for the Golden Globe Awards, along with his wife Upasana, co-star Jr NTR, director SS Rajamouli, composer MM Keeravaani and others in January. Many audiences across the globe hailed the actor’s performance and called it his career-best act alongside Rangasthalam.

Alia Bhatt played his on-screen romantic interest in RRR, while Jr NTR, in the role of a foe-turned-friend, essayed the role of another Telugu warrior Komaram Bheem. Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Shriya Saran were also part of the principal cast. RRR is streaming on ZEE5, Disney+ Hotstar and Netflix across the globe in multiple languages.

The film also enjoyed a record 100-day run in Japan recently. James Cameron, in a recent interview, spoke highly of Ram Charan’s performance in RRR. Naatu Naatu, the number from the film, was nominated in the ‘Best Original Song’ category. Choreographed by Prem Rakshith and lyricised by MM Keeravaani, the dance number was sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.
