Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani are different from other celebrities because they are among the few actors who chose to go public with their relationship. The norm for actors is to keep their dating lives under wraps.
Rakul, who told OTTplay in an exclusive interview that she prefers to be her real self on social media, seems to apply this to all parts of her personal life.
In 2021, Rakul and Jackky went public with their relationship, putting an end to speculations about them dating.
Jackky had put up a sweet post on Rakul's birthday, which he began with, "Without you, days don’t seem like days." They have since been spotted together on several occasions.
Rakul, who is currently promoting her latest film, I Love You, with Pavail Gulati, spoke about the reason she chose to be open and vocal about her relationship with Jackky.
Speaking to the Indian Express, Rakul said that both she and Jackky do not believe in hiding their relationship. "As adults, it’s the most natural progression of any human being, and it’s a fact of life that I wouldn’t want to hide. Do I want to make news with it every time? No. It’s a fact of life that I can also live freely, and that’s it," she said.
Once a celebrity goes public with his or her relationship, the next question is when they will tie the knot. Rakul has been asked this question several times, with fans and followers constantly playing the guessing game.
Speaking about this, Rakul joked that people had already gotten her married twice: once in December and then in February. The actor, however, doesn't let this bother her and just laughs off such rumours.
When asked if and when she would be walking down the aisle, Rakul simply said, "I am sure that they will get to know when I get married."
