Raktabeej: Ankush dances to the tune of Gobindo Dant Maje Na

Puja is a little more than a month away and the directors and actors of the Bengali film industry are all set with their festival releases. Before Puja, there will be Srijit Mukherji’s Dawsham Awbotaar, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Raktabeej, Dev’s Bagha Jatin and Arindam Sil’s Jongole Mitin Mashi.

Meanwhile, there is a sense of unity on display within the industry. Srijit is coming forward to promote the film Raktabeej. Dev, on the other hand, stood beside Srijit's picture. The industry seems to be united. Actor Ankush Hazra is also appearing in his style. He will be seen in a special song in Raktabeej. That song came public on Saturday. The audience has previously seen Ankush paired up with Mimi Chakraborty. Now he appeared in a special avatar in a film starring Mimi. The dance number is composed, penned, and sung by musician Surojit Chatterjee. 

It was a surprise for many people. The industry is getting unified. Is that the reason Ankush agreed to act in a song sequence? The actor told Anandabazar Online, “There can be labels of star, superstar, or hero in front of an actor's name. But at the end of the day, our task is to entertain. I never worked with Nandita Di and Shibu Da before. I had a wish to work with them. Hence, I agreed when the offer came. Our industry will go forward like this.”

Ankush has also opened a production house. He faced some problems initially. He will concentrate more on making films under his production house's banner. He recently finished the work of Koushik Ganguly’s film Asukh Bisukh. His new film Kurban is supposed to be released soon.
