Just under a year ago, actor-director-producer Rakshit Shetty had announced that his production house, Paramvah Studios, would be further divided into specific verticals, namely Paramvah Studios, Spotlight and Music. The intention with Paramvah Pictures and Paramvah Spotlight, he had said in his post, was to tap into a large reserve of unrecognized talents in storytelling and nurture them for a potential career in the cinema. Alongside, Paramvah Studios also revamped its music label Paramvah Music to encourage, preserve, and revive Karnataka's rich folk music and heritage. The revamp focuses on supporting talented indie musicians from Karnataka who deserve a platform to showcase their skills.

And today, as the first step in that direction, Rakshit announced the debut production by Paramvah Spotlight. The film, directed by Arjun Lewis and starring Sruthi Hariharan, Dheekshith Shetty, Vineeth Kumar and Chaitra J Achar, is called Strawberry, details of which were shared on a poster featuring a strawberry with a toothpick in it and a red trickle, which suspiciously looks like blood. “We are delighted to announce Paramvah Spotlight's maiden project. 'Strawberry' is a beautiful emulsion of creators, artists and storytellers. Watch out for it,” read the accompanying post.

Meanwhile, Rakshit’s earlier production 777 Charlie, which he is also acting in, is yet to freeze on a new release date. Initially slated for a December 31, 2021 release, the Kiranraj K directorial, which follows the exploits of Dharma (Rakshit) and the dog Charlie, was pushed ahead, as the makers were apparently working out the logistics of the film’s pan-Indian release. Reports suggested that the team was set to work out a deal with a major Bollywood production film for the Hindi distribution, but details on this are yet to be made public.
