Rajugari Kodipulao report: Shiva Kona, ETV Prabhakar’s film is packed with thrills, viewers say

AMF, Kona Cinema are joining forces for a quirky thriller Rajugari Kodipulao, which releases in theatres today. Shiva Kona directs, co-produces and acts in the film that also stars ETV Prabhakar, Neha Deshpande, Kunal Kaushal, Prachi Thaker, Ramya, Abhilash Bandari and others. The unique premise set amidst a forest and the promos , music have made some noise in the past few days.

The story revolves around Raju, a hotel owner, famous for his chicken biryani. While he looks a happy go lucky man amidst the public, he is bitter inside. He’s unhappy about not having a son and his troubled marriage with a problematic wife. After a terrible mishap, his legs are amputated. Meanwhile, a group of friends come together for an adventurous road trip.

Among the friends, Danny and Candy are a pair, while Akanksha-Badri, Shahrukh-Eesha are married couples. While they plan a road trip in search of their destinies, their car breaks down and they’re forced to spend time in a forest. Candy dies under mysterious circumstances and the group is stuck in the forest, unsure of their path. Eesha suddenly goes missing and the rest finally land in a house, where Candy appears out of the blue. Where’s the tale headed?

The portrayal of the unhappy marriage between Akanksha-Badri and why Akanksha and Shahrukh fall for one another is convincing, viewers state. While the film is off to a leisurely start, the narrative takes a tense turn with the arrival of the characters in a forest. Rajugari Kodipulao is packed with thrills, interesting twists and turns. The psyche of the characters, their unpredictable behaviour and the subsequent resolution of the conflict are satisfying, reports suggest.

Shiva Kona is receiving praise from many for his ability to handle multiple responsibilities with ease - as an actor, director, producer. Danny’s characterisation, sense of humour are believed to be other highlights of the film which also boasts an assured performance by Prachi Thaker.

The various shades in Abhilash Bandari’s character are impressive while ETV Prabhakar makes an impact in his limited portions. Praveen Mani’s music, the cinematography, the choice of locations are the USPs of the film.
