So when we say we are about to experience a Rajkummar tsunami in the coming time, we aren’t exaggerating. It turns out it begins in May this year. Making news now is his next film, SRI, which is about to hit the big screen in a little over a month from today. While the new release date of the movie is making news, what is also new is a change in the title.
Yes, we are talking about the Srikanth Bolla biopic that was earlier titled SRI. The film has now gone through a title change, and below is everything you should know about this big update of the day.
On his official Instagram handle, Rajkummar Rao shared a new poster for the next release that is due this May. The star has been making headlines for the same. While the creative poster caught our attention, what was also notable was the change in title. Earlier titled SRI, the movie is now titled Srikanth. Srikanth – Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne was earlier set for a September 2023 release and then a May 17, 2024 release. However, as per the new official announcement, the movie has been pushed ahead by a week and will now be released in theatres on May 10, 2024, coinciding with Akshaya Tritiya.
Sharing the announcement with a new poster, Rajkummar Rao captioned the post, “A remarkable journey that will open your eyes! #Srikanth, earlier titled SRI, releasing on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, 10th May 2024.” Check out the post shared by Rao below and also the excitement of the fans in the comments section.
Srikanth stars Rajkummar Rao, Jyotika, Sharad Kelkar, and Alaya F in leading roles. The latter had recently opened up on sharing the screen with Rajkummar and even went on to reveal how she enjoyed shooting a schedule for the same. Not much has been revealed about the movie, as even the looks have been kept neatly under wraps. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, the movie is backed by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.
Srikanth is based on the life of Shrikanth Bolla, who achieved big things in the world as he found Bollant Industries from scratch and made it a successful venture despite being visually impaired.
