Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra-starrer HIT: The First Case will be released on July 15. The actor came to Kolkata to kickstart the promotion of the action thriller. While talking to the press, the actor said that this was a challenging role for him and he would like to explore all kinds of roles.
At the press conference, Rajkummar talked about the challenges of the character he plays. He said that he had no reference to post-traumatic stress disorder syndrome that the character suffers from. “The whole weight and physical aspect of PTSD was huge. Somebody who is having panic attacks every now and then. I had no reference to that. I had to prepare for that. I watched a lot of videos of real people. That was pretty challenging,” said the actor, adding that this was the first time he tried such action sequences. “The whole action sequence was not easy. It was the first time for me to do such action sequences. I had a lot of fun,” he said.
While answering his favourite genre of acting, Rajkummar said, “I love acting the most. I don't want to typecast myself or put myself in a bracket that Raj (Rajkummar) only does this and nothing else. I want to challenge myself with everything. I want to do every kind of genre – action, comedy, romance – whatever you offer me. I am there.”
Meanwhile, talking about the character in Hit and his personal life, he said that his only regret is he could not show the Mumbai life that he lives to his parents. “Everybody has regrets in life. I regret that I could not bring my parents to Mumbai. I wish I could show them my life here. That never happened as they left before that,” said the actor.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar, and Kuldeep Rathore, HIT: The First Case will hit the theatre on July 15.
