Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's comedy film Bhool Chuk Maaf was supposed to clash with Sunny Deol's action-thriller, Jaat, on April 10. The movie has been backed by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. The film, which was supposed to be released on April 10, has now been postponed. The makers shared a new release date along with a clip.
Bhool Chuk Maaf's new release date
On March 26, Maddock Films took to their Instagram account and dropped a clip of Bhool Chuk Maaf to announce the new release date. The film will now hit theaters on May 9. Sharing the clip, they captioned the post, "Apni haldi mein hi atak gaye Ranjan aur Titli! Kya unki shaadi ka din aayega kabhi? Pata chalega 9th May ko. Bhool Chuk Maaf sabhi cinema-gharon mein!"

Bhool Chuk Maaf is an upcoming romantic comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, where a couple gets trapped in a time loop on the eve of their wedding, leading to repeated pre-wedding ceremonies.
The film is set in Varanasi and centers around a couple, Rajkummar and Wamiqa, who are about to get married. The teaser shows the couple and their families preparing for the wedding, with a joyful haldi ceremony being hosted. However, a flower tub falls from the roof, and something strange happens the next day, and Rajkummar realizes that it is still the 29th, which leads to another Haldi ceremony. Bhool Chuk Maaf is an official adaptation of the Spanish film Mirage (2018) and revolves around time travel and parallel realities
Meanwhile, Rajkummar was seen in Amar Kaushik's horror comedy Stree 2 with Shraddha Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi. Another film, Mr and Mrs Mahi, hit the big screen on May 31, 2024, and it starred Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role. Rajkummar was also seen in Srikanth and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Triptii Dimri.
On the other hand, Wamiqa Gabbi was seen in Baby John, co-starring Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh. The film underperformed at the box office.
