Director Rahul Riji Nair and Rajisha Vijayan’s Keedam is all set for its OTT premiere in July. The movie, which also has Sreenivasan and Vijay Babu in pivotal roles, marks the second collaboration between Rahul and Rajisha after their sports drama Kho Kho, which hit theatres just before the second pandemic lockdown last year.
Keedam, which was released in theatres in March, revolves around a cyber-security expert who becomes a victim of harassment. Faced with the choice of going against her principles, how she uses her skills to bring the culprits to justice form the plot of the movie.
Sreenivasan plays the father of Rajisha’s character in the film, which was shot mostly in Ernakulam last year. The chemistry of the father-daughter duo was highly praised when the movie hit theatres. Vijay Babu essays the role of a police officer in Keedam, which also has Manikandan Pattambi in a pivotal role.
In an earlier interview with OTTplay, the movie’s director Rahul told us that with the movie he wanted to show how there are several real-life instances for which there are limitations in the law in terms of how to tackle and bring down those crimes.
The film’s streaming rights have been bought by ZEE5 and it will drop on the platform on July 1. Rajisha also had a direct-to-OTT release earlier this year with Jeo Baby’s anthology Freedom Fight. The actress is currently awaiting the release of her Telugu debut Ramaroa on Duty, which has Ravi Teja as the protagonist. The movie will hit theatres on July 29. Rajisha also has a Tamil release with Karthi’s Sardar.
Meanwhile, the actress has completed shooting for Ajai Vasudev’s Pakalum Paathiravum and is also part of Praghesh Sukumaran’s campus entertainer Lovefully Yours Veda. She has also signed another film with Sharafudheen.
