Superstar Rajinikanth has recently completed shooting his portions for the highly anticipated movie Lal Salaam. A photo capturing the moment of celebration with his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and other cast and crew members is going viral on the internet.

Rajinikanth dedicated several weeks to the shooting schedule of Lal Salaam, which took place in Mumbai. The film is set against a politically charged backdrop and is entirely filmed in the bustling city. Reports suggest that the movie draws inspiration from director Abhishek Kapoor's 2013 hit film, Kai Po Che.

The first look poster of Lal Salaam hints at thematic similarities with Kai Po Che, portraying Rajinikanth as a Muslim leader amidst the turmoil of riot-stricken Mumbai. The poster also featured a cricket helmet, ball, and bat lying amidst the wreckage of a street, further emphasizing the unifying power of cricket in times of unrest. Notably, legendary cricketer Kapil Dev has filmed a cameo role for the movie, adding excitement for cricket fans.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth returns to the director's chair after a gap of seven years with Lal Salaam. Her last directorial venture was the Tamil action-thriller Vai Raja Vai, which featured a cameo appearance by her husband, Dhanush. The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in lead roles and is being produced by Lyca Productions. Adding to the grandeur of the movie, Oscar-winner AR Rahman has been roped in to compose the music.

In the meantime, Rajinikanth is waiting for the release of Jailer. Written and directed by Nelson, the film is due to arrive in cinemas on August 10.
