Rajinikanth shares excitement on his interaction with Kapil Dev, posts a picture from Lal Salaam's set

Earlier today, legendary cricketer Kapil Dev had shared a picture on his Instagram page which had him posing for a photo along with Rajinikanth. The former Indian cricket skipper said that it was his "honour and privilege to be with the great man". Fans of the two icons were elated to see them together.

Many were wondering if the Superstar would reciprocate the gesture. And he did! The star has taken to his Twitter page to say that he was equally honoured to spend time with Kapil. He addressed him as the "most respected and wonderful human being" and reminisced his contribution in making India proud by helping the team win cricket World Cup for the first time.

The Jailer star also posted the hashtag #LalSalaam in the tweet hinting at the cricketer playing a cameo in the movie which is being helmed by the former's daughter Aishwarya. The shooting of the film bankrolled by Lyca Productions is happening in Mumbai.

It was only a few days ago that Rajinikanth's look and character name from Lal Salaam was revealed by makers. He plays Moideen Bhai in the project which stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth essaying lead roles.

It was announced earlier that the film has cricket as an integral part in it. With Kapil appearing in a cameo in it, cinephiles are wondering what his role would be in the movie. Rajini also attached a picture of him having a conversation with Kapil.

He is seen sporting the get-up of Moideen Bhai in the pic and listening to what Kapil is enthusiastically speaking. The release date of Lal Salaam is yet to be announced.
