Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, the veteran stars of the Tamil film industry, have been friends since the early days of their acting careers. For decades, the Thalaivar and Ulaganayagan have stood by each other through thick and thin, despite being arch-rivals on the silver screen. And now Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are taking social media by storm with their recent pictures together, which were clicked at a film studio in Chennai.

Recently, Lyca Productions took to their official social media handles to drop a few pictures and videos of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan from their recent meeting. Interestingly, the legendary actors, who are currently shooting for their movies Thalaivar 170 and Indian 2 in the same studio, hung out together during a break. The production banner also revealed that the duo is shooting in the same studio together after a 21-year gap.

In the video, which is now going viral on social media, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are seen having fun together as they pose for pictures. Later, the duo went back to their respective movie sets after a quick conversation. Netizens, who are going gaga over the two stars latest pictures, have been expressing their wish to watch them share screen once again.

The social thriller, which is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian, marks Kamal Haasan’s second collaboration with master craftsman S Shankar. Late actors Nedumudi Venu and Vivekh, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Brahmanandam, Gulshan Grover, Guru Somasundaram, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and others play key roles in the film, which is reportedly slated to be released in theatres in two parts.

The eagerly-awaited project, which is touted to be a complete entertainer, marks Rajinikanth’s first onscreen collaboration with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel Raja. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan plays a pivotal role in the project, which also features Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Arjun Sarja, and others in pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the songs and the original score for the untitled project.
