Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil spotted shooting for Vettaiyan; video goes viral!

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil have been spotted shooting together for T J Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan. The new video, which was leaked from the sets, has the two actors rehearsing for the film. The new video of Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil from the sets has gone viral, and has created a lot of buzz on social media. 

In the video, Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil are seen addressing a group of technicians and junior artists who are dressed in police uniforms at the movie sets. The video, which has been garnering a lot of attention on social media, has left the fans curious to learn more about the film's plot!  

Many expressed their excitement over watching their favourite superstar and Mollywood’s multifaceted actor sharing screen space for the first time. Many other users shared their excitement over Rajinikanth donning yet another cop avatar after the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. The video shows Rajinikanth dressed in formals, while the Maamannan actor is seen in a vibrant outfit with a sling bag.

About Vettaiyan

The film is titled Vettaiyan, which is the name of the one of the iconic characters played by Rajinikanth in the 2005 horror-comedy movie Chandramukhi. 

The film’s teaser, which was unveiled earlier, opens with Rajinikanth reading a book about Subhash Chandra Bose, hinting at the character's core ideology. Vettaiyan will once again see Rajinikanth playing the role of a senior police officer, which is touted to be an action-packed film with a strong social message. 

The eagerly anticipated film also features a stellar star cast including legendary Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan, in the key roles. Anirudh Ravichander composes the songs and original score for Vettaiyan, which is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. 

Director TJ Gnanavel and his team are planning to wrap up the entire filming of the movie by the last week of January 2024. The post-production works of the film will go on floors by the first week of February, as per reports.
