Rajendra Prasad's take on his series Harikatha rubs Allu Arjun fans in the wrong way

Harikatha is Disney+ Hotstar's new series, set to stream on December 13, 2024. Rajendra Prasad plays the lead role in this series, and the trailer has captured everyone's imagination. The show's promotions are happening at a brisk pace, and speaking about it, Rajendra Prasad shared that playing the male lead in a series is a novel experience for him.

Rajendra Prasad takes a dig at Allu Arjun

During his speech, he took a subtle dig at Allu Arjun's Pushpa, remarking that the concept of a hero has changed, where "even a sandalwood smuggler can be portrayed as one." He added, "At such a time, playing the key role in Harikatha has a purpose. My character adopts a unique avatar to confront societal evils, and how this unfolds forms the core of the series."

The veteran actor further stated that once Harikatha is released, people might feel it should have been made as a theatrical film. The series features Divi Vadhata, Sriram, Pooja Ponnada, and Arjun Ambati in key roles. Directed by Maggi, the series was made on a reasonable budget and incorporates a mythological element.

The story revolves around a series of murders with the shocking twist that God, in various avatars, is eradicating evil in society.
