Game Changer is one of the most-awaited films in Telugu cinema. For the first time, Shankar is directing a straight Telugu film, with Ram Charan in the lead role. The trailer was launched by SS Rajamouli, who made headlines earlier today for the simple launch of his own new film.
During the event, Rajamouli praised Shankar, saying, "Shankar is the first director to envision pan-India films, inspiring many to think outside the box and create large-scale movies. While today's generation sees us as visionary directors, it was Shankar who pioneered pan-India films with social responsibility for decades. I consider Shankar the OG of big-screen entertainment."
Rajamouli further mentioned that certain shots in the trailer reminded him of Oke Okkadu and the era of impactful social dramas. He also commended Ram Charan’s growth as an actor, adding that his performance in the film would be "whistle-worthy."
Game Changer stars Kiara Advani as the female lead, though she was absent from the trailer launch. However, Anjali, the film's second heroine, made an appearance at the event. Rajamouli also highlighted Ram Charan’s versatility, noting that the actor adapts seamlessly to his director’s vision.
In Game Changer, Ram Charan plays a double role, portraying both father and son. Thaman composed the music, and the trailer's score has received a solid response. Shankar has crafted Charan’s character with a blend of mass appeal and emotional depth, earning widespread appreciation.
The trailer quickly went viral, generating significant buzz. Game Changer is slated for release on January 10, 2025, as a Sankranthi festival special. The film, produced by Dil Raju on a massive budget, also features SJ Suryah as the main antagonist. With the excitement building, all eyes are on whether Game Changer will live up to the hype. Stay tuned for more updates.
