Reem Shaikh had a fantastic start to the new year with Ek Farzi Love Story's release. The actress' new web show recently had its digital premiere. Before this show, Reem was appreciated for her performance in Raisinghani vs Raisinghani. She played the role of Ankita in the SonyLIV series, which streamed in 2024. The web series marked Jennifer Winget and Karan Wahi's on-screen reunion after 14 years. In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Reem revealed whether Raisinghani vs Raisinghani will be renewed for the second season.
During a conversation with us, Reem Shaikh spoke about playing a character with a grey shade in Raisinghani vs Raisinghani. The actress also expressed her wish to do its second season if it is made.
"Well, I really don't know whether season 2 is coming up or not. But that character (of Ankita) was a little grey I really enjoyed doing that. Because it was something that I could not relate to and that was a challenge. I had a wonderful time playing a (character with) grey shade. I enjoyed it. So if at all there is a season two, I would love to do it again," shared Reem.
On being asked about a co-actor who's been her biggest source of inspiration, the actress named her Raisinghani vs Raisinghani co-star Jennifer Winget. "I've always been a fan of Jennifer. I think I've said it enough times now. She inspires me not just because of her craft, of course, she's great at it, but the kind of human that she is. Now that I've worked with her, I can say more confidently that, she is a source of inspiration," she added.
Earlier, when Raisinghani vs Raisinghani was about to end, the web show's writer Anuraadha Tewari spoke about season 2. The writer mentioned, "I can’t comment on season 2, that is for SonyLIV to answer but I can assure fans that this season is ending on a high with many new threads opening up. While we hopefully have a satisfying end to season 1 we do have great promise for a lot more courtroom drama and to the title itself."
The series streamed on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium.
