Actor Vikram Prabhu's next with Sri Divya, Raid, is all set to hit screens on November 10 on the festive occasion of Diwali. The film is helmed by debutant director Karthi. Here's all you need to know about the action entertainer.
Remake of Kannada film Tagaru
Raid is a remake of the hit Kannada film Tagaru, starring Shivarajkumar and Dhananjaya, which was directed by Duniya Soori. Tagaru emerged as the third highest grossing film in Kannada in 2018.

An action-packed trailer
The trailer begins with a series of gruesome murders in the city. Vikram plays a police officer, who is transferred to a new town where he is on a mission to bring down a powerful gang led by a ruthless gangster. The efficient cop wants to restore the peace in town.

The cast and crew
This is the second time that Vikram Prabhu and Sri Divya are teaming up for a film after their last outing Vellaikkara Durai (2014). The supporting cast includes Ananthika, Rishi Rithvik and Soundararaja.
Music for the film is by Sam CS.T he makers had recently released the film's third track - Ayyo Hayio, which received positive response from the audience. Cinematography is by Kathiravan and editing by Manimaran. K Ganesh is the stunt choreographer and art direction is by Veeramani Ganesan. Dialogues for the film are by Muthaiya.
November 2023 Release
The film is bankrolled by M Studios, Openscreen Pictures and G Pictures. Raid will lock horns with Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda Double X and Karthi's Japan. The OTT partner is yet to be announced.
Vikram Prabhu's Irugapatru drops on Netflix
In the meantime, his last outing, the feel-good drama on marital relationships, Irugaptru is now streaming on Netflix. The film, directed by Yuvraaj Dhayalan, opened to positive reviews and emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office.
