As the first look of the upcoming series of Rafuchakkar came out on Monday, the protagonist of the show Maniesh Paul opens up on how he feels to be on the right track for the growth of his career as he progresses from films to web shows.
Talking about the show, Maniesh said on a press note, “After Jugjugg Jeeyo, Rafuchakkar feels the right step as an actor. I love the challenge to push my boundaries and mould myself into different characters. I am fortunate enough to experiment with five characters in one for this show, especially as it marks my digital debut.”
The actor also gives credit to the makers and the streaming platform for showing faith in his talent by offering the lead role in the show.
“They instilled their faith in me to play a role so drastically different from my personality. It has been a wonderful experience as I walked through a series of combinations and experiments for every look. It has been an interesting process of actually slipping into them!” shared the actor.
While Maniesh already had a steady career on television as a presenter and actor, he also acted in Bollywood films like Mickey Virus, Tere Bin Laden 2, and Jugjugg Jeeyo to name a few.
Directed by Ritam Shrivastava, Rafuchakkar stars Maniesh, along with Priya Bapat, Aksha Pardasany, Aakash Dahiya, Pushkar Priyadarshi, and Sushant Singh among others.
The series will release on JioCinema on June 15.
