Celebrations time! Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who featured in a titular role in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees, is likely to get married next month to her long-time boyfriend Salim Karim. The auspicious ceremony will take place in a hill station in Pakistan’s Punjab and will be attended by the couple’s close friends and family members.
Several Pakistan-based news portals claim that the actress, who has been a part of television shows like ‘Humsafar’ alongside Fawad Khan, and films like ‘Bol’, ‘Raees’ and ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’, is super comfortable getting married at the age of 38.
For those who know Mahira well know it for a fact that she has countless troubles in her personal life. Mahira was earlier married to a man named Ali Askari from 2007-15, who she reportedly met on a trip to Los Angeles in 2006. Mahira and Ali have a son together who was born in 2009. Later, due to personal differences, Mahira and Ali got divorced in 2007. Reports at that time believed that Mahira married Ali against her father’s wishes and thus, faced consequences.

It has been nearly 16 years since Mahira got divorced and moved on in her life. Now, she wishes to start a family again with a fresh perspective on life. The beauty wishes to start a fresh chapter in her life with warmth and love.
Earlier in April this year, a Pakistani news portal, 24 News HD, claimed that Mahira is in a relationship with Salim and thus, rejected a marriage proposal suggested by her family. On Instagram, a fan who was head over heels in love with Mahira Khan had asked the Pakistani star if she would like to marry him. To this, Mahira had sweetly replied, ‘Sorry. Taken.’ This comment by Mahira, too, dropped hinted at her relationship with Salim. This news portal claims that Salim Karim is a businessman by profession.
