Radhika Madan teamed up with Akshay Kumar for the Hindi remake of Soorarai Potrru. Their film, which is untitled, was set to release on September 1, 2023. However, its release has been postponed. In the meantime, Madan got candid about her first project with Akshay. In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, the actress revealed how the Hindi version will be different compared to the Tamil film.

When Radhika was asked about her collaboration with Akshay, the actress said, "It is a very fresh pair and unusual pair. Sudha ma'am has directed it and it is the remake of Soorarai Pottru. It was a phenomenal film and won so many National Awards. It is such an important story."
Continuing the conversation, she quipped, "We have changed the characters. We've brought our own selves into it. Sudha ma'am tried to create something new and offered something new with that project. I am so excited for the audience to see that. It is a brilliant project and a great team to be a part of. It is very special and I hope you guys get to see it soon."
About Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake
For the unversed, Sudha Kongara has written and directed the Hindi version of the 2020 film Soorarai Pottru. The movie also stars Paresh Rawal in a pivotal role. It is touted to be inspired by real-life events.

What's next for Radhika Madan?
On the work front, Radhika is currently gearing up for the release of Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video. She plays the titular role in the film. Directed by Mikhil Musale, the star cast of this project also includes Nimrat Kaur, Soham Majumdar, Priyanshu Chatterjee, and others. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 27, 2023.
