Race 4: Sidharth Malhotra to join Saif Ali Khan-starrer? Here's what we know

Saif Ali Khan is expected to return to the Race franchise. It was recently reported that producer Ramesh Taurani is planning a new installment, Race 4, with Saif back in the franchise. The movie is likely to go on floors in the first half of 2025. At present, the team is currently working towards locking the script of Race 4. The latest development on the movie is that Sidharth Malhotra is reportedly in talks to join the star cast.

Sidharth Malhotra to be a part of Race 4?

According to a Pinkvilla report, Ramesh Taurani and his team are in advanced talks with Sidharth Malhotra for Race 4. As per a source, Malhotra has shown interest in doing the film and has been in discussions with the producer for a while now.

"While the writing work is on, he has initiated conversations with Sidharth Malhotra to play the leading man of Race 4 alongside Saif Ali Khan. Sid is a big fan of the Race franchise and is interested in doing the film," a source told the entertainment portal. The film is being planned on a grand scale.

Much like the previous installments, Race 4 will most likely feature a strong face-off between two strong-headed men. "Staying true to the world of this franchise, the Race franchise is getting a reboot with a face-off between Saif and Sid. It’s a pure two-hero film, with both the characters having shades of grey," the source added.

Having said that, Sidharth and Saif are expected to sign the dotted lines after hearing the final narration of Race 4's script. It will happen around November 2024.

Sidharth Malhotra's work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sidharth was last seen in Yodha alongside Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani. This year, the actor also made his web series debut with Rohit Shetty's Indian Police Force. Malhotra shared screen space with Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty in the show, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
