Raavana Kottam: Shanthnu's latest film to drop on THIS platform too, apart from Amazon Prime

Shanthnu's Raavana Kottam, which released amid decent expectations a month ago, opened to mixed reviews. The Vikram Sugumaran directorial has Anandhi playing the female lead while Prabhu and Ilavarasu among others essay pivotal roles. It was reported recently that the film will drop on Amazon Prime on June 16.

The movie was in the news a few days ago when Vikram won Best Director at the Eastern Europe Film Festival which was held in Romania recently. The project's producer Kannan Ravi and cast received appreciation at the event. Shanthnu took to social media to express excitement at the international recognition.

Now, another platform has also bagged the movie's digital rights and is set to have the OTT premiere on the same day as Amazon Prime. aha Tamil has acquired its rights and has officially announced the same. This is one of those rare occasions where a Tamil movie gets an OTT premiere date on the same day on multiple digital avenues.

Vetrivel Mahendran and Lawrence Kishore have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the movie which has music by Justin Prabhakaran. Raavana Kottam revolves around a village where two caste groups co-exist in harmony. However, things turn topsy-turvy when a few criminal-minded people plan to create a conflict among them.

At the press meet of the film, Shanthnu narrated on the various issues the crew faced while shooting for the movie. He said he was dejected with the selfish nature of a few people and was devastated. He also shared about the suicidal thoughts he had while working for the movie.
