Kate Beckinsale made her debut at the age of four on a British television show, but she received her major breakthrough in Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of a William Shakespeare's play, while she was completing her education at Oxford. She has since starred in several high profile roles in films such as Snow Angels (2007), Pearl Harbor (2001), The Aviator (2004), among others. Her most memorable role was however in Underworld (2003) where she played the character of Selene. The success of the film greenlit several sequels featuring Beckinsale as the lead as well as a spinoff starring Michael Sheen.
